That's the one I had at the hammer in on Saturday. The two knives are very similar but tknife's has just a little longer blade. Not bad since I don't keep patterns and just copied it from memory!

Ray's knives are wonderfully executed, but it should be mentioned that his sheaths are also very, very good. His kydex is as good or better than those made by some people who only do sheaths.

I should add that this one is a little lighter than mine. My version weighs in at a whopping 5.2 oz. I guess it didn't get quite as much fairy dust....
Awesome knife! RL Love your work!
Whats the official name on this design as it will now be placed on my "customs wishlist".

My vote is for a name like The Backpacker. I think the possibilities are endless - use different woods for the scales and frame, or different colors of micarta or G10. Picture one with blaze orange G10 scales and bright blue G10 frame, now that would stand out! Or blackwood scales with osage orange frame.
Knifemaker fairy dust sprinkled on the knife is the secret ingredient![]()
Alright Ray, that does it! I copied tknife's picture (great pics BTW tknife!) and saved it as "Ray Laconico's Backpacker"...you'll get an email from me pretty soon!

I've already gotten a couple of orders for this knife.. I should give it a name.. Lambertiana Backpacking Knife or "LBK", I guess![]()
Sadly, I would guess most people would pass them by because they aren't the current trendy full tang construction. Their loss!
