Before making a purchase please read the terms at the bottom of this post.

For your reference, if you are unfamiliar with these knives and their relative sizes, you can see them here:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/838420-Bussekin-amp-Friends-Epic-Fail

I am not looking for trades at this time. No really, please don't offer me trades :)

Here is a pic showing the relative sizes of some of the knives in Part 1 of this thread.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 - Matt Caldwell 1-4 (154-CM) Natural Canvas Micarta)
Moved to new thread

Lightly used, unsharpened. The light use has not marked the blade as it was making a few feathersticks in soft wood. The blade has scratches from the sheath.

Kydex sheath with Tek-Lok.

It is the smaller of the two in the picture above:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 - Ray Laconico 4 1/4" Woods Knife $220 $PF

Unused, unsharpened.

Blade steel: 1095, 4mm stock
Blade length: 4 1/4"
Overall length: 9 1/4"
Handle: Natural Canvas Micarta with Mosaic and aluminum pin/tube
Flat grind, zero convex edge

Leather Sheath from Ray Laconico.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 - Laconico EDC $175 $PF

Unused, unsharpened. It has some storage spots on the blade. It should be easy to remove but I am not skilled enough to do it so I am selling it as is.

Blade steel: 1095, 1/8" stock
Blade length: 3 3/8"
Overall length: 7 5/8"
Handle: canvas Micarta with aluminum pin/tube
Flat grind, zero convex edge

Leather sheath from Ray Laconico.

Spots on the blade:

4 - Dan Koster Bushcrafter (3V) (Canvas Micarta - older model with thinner handles) $135 $old

Lightly used, stropped on a leather strop.

Kydex sheath with Tek-Lok.

This is one of the very early models with the finer jimping, two holes in the handle and the thinnest handle scales of all the generations so it is light and very easy to carry.

It is the top knife in the pictures below, next to a later generation Koster Bushcrafter.

5 -
Dan Koster Bushcrafter (3V, Natural Canvas Micarta with Red Liners - 2009 model with thicker handles) $155
$old

Unused, unsharpened.

No sheath.

It is the bottom knife in the two comparison pictures above.

So you insist on insured shipping and do not accept responsibility if it lost outside of US? It is also covered with insurance, isn't it? I'm confused ...

Hi Laurin

It is a fair question.

I have bought and sold hundreds of knives and many were internationally (I think I may have bought or sold to you also, if I recall correctly)

Personally I have never had any issues and have never had to file an insurance claim so I am not an expert by any means. But from what I have only read on the forums, the difference between inside the US and with international is that sometimes the knives get confiscated by customs or law enforcement and in such cases insurance does not pay out. Sometimes people find out the taxes are much higher than they expected and then they don't want to pay those and they never collect the knife and then claim they never received it. Also, I have heard of traceability issues where international shipping is involved such as the postal services in some countries will steal the knife but mark it as delivered, which may also be an issue here in the US but in the US there are more options for recourse as I live here.

So all I am saying is that if insurance pays out, I will obviously give that payout to the buyer. But if insurance does not pay out, for whatever technicality there may be such as customs etc, then they buyer will have to agree to accept responsibility as a condition of the sale. They will be more knowledgeable about the laws in their country. I cannot be expected to know the laws and taxes and technicalities of insurance on international shipping to determine whether the knife will be confiscated or paid for by insurance if it does not get to the buyer, for whatever reason other than the carrier losing it.

So you insist on insured shipping and do not accept responsibility if it lost outside of US? It is also covered with insurance, isn't it? I'm confused ...
