'Laconico Perfection'...Warning: Pic HEAVY...

I love Ray's eye for lines. Every curve is always just so. And I love the width of many of the designs--a lot of cutting power there!

Sweet. Looks like a Barkkniven H1 done right.

Agreed - very similar to the H1. But I like the dropped point on this design much better, especially for my purposes. Not to mention the O1 steel vs. stainless for bushcraft/camp work.

Great pics! I really like the contrasting structures of different materials and finishes in the first pic, one can really feel the essence of the knife there.

Congratulations on your Laconico Knife- It is pure knife porn.

Fantastic crisp pics by the way.

Such beautiful, functional working tools he makes- great choice of ingredients for your Knife, looks stunning

That's really nice, looks like it would be great in the bush. I have been watching Mr. Laconico's work and I like several of the knives I've seen. They all look very functional and have really nice lines.

Beautiful knife! Does anyone know the ballpark of what a knife like this (made to order) would cost?

Nice. I've been meaning to get a hand on one of his knives but it's never worked out right or just plain bad timing.

He sells them in the for sale section. IIRC it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 150-200 for this size.

Yep, that's right in the ballpark. But just so you know, this one was a custom order and somewhat outside the typical specs for this model that Ray offers in the for sale section. 1/8" 1095 is usually the steel used on these (typical bushcraft thickness), but I wanted 3/16" O1 for a good all-arounder so I sent Ray the thicker O1 stock to use. I also had him make it slightly shorter and with a little more of a drop point.

Thanks for all the nice comments about the pics BTW. It's amazing what a little point and shoot can do when given the right subject! :)
