Here's a project that I've been meaning to do for a while. I wanted to come up with a new design for a multi purpose belt knife that I could offer to my customers who prefer a fixed blade over a folder. This one is my prototype. I hope to make more of these soon in either A2 or D2 steel. Now I need to come up with a name for it. Thanks for looking!
-Ray Laconico

Blade steel: A2, 5/32" stock
Blade length: 4" tip to scales
Overall length: 8 1/2"
Handle: black paper micarta with stainless pins/tube
Sheath: leather pouch type belt carry
Price: $275, shipped USPS priority insured mail ConUS

Ooohhh, you make them pretty Ray, like a husky girl. Hey, call it the Husky Girl!!!

That design is a knife distilled down to its very essence. I submit that you name it the "Soul". That name doesn't come up when searched on Google for the first three pages. I didn't bother to look any deeper. D2 please!

That looks great. Would you consider offering a sheath with a loop for horizontal belt carry?

I like the choil. They makes sharpening on flat stones and diamond bench stones way easier for me.

How about the "Mainstay?" Fitting for both a design you intend to keep around and for a knife that's perfect for all around use and being a primary carry whose size perfectly bridges the gap between a folder and fixed?

Cool knife!

Ray,

Your knives are like art.

I use mine heavily in the 3 or 4 months that I've owned it and even beaten, it still has a great appeal to it. I don't know what you should call this but I just wanted to thank you for your craftsmanship.

Edit to add: Maybe I'd call it the companion, a multipurpose edc/woods

Dayum!

I'll say it again, dayum!

What a beautiful knife, everything about it is just perfect. You sir, are a true artisan.

Cheers!
