G'day Andy.

Any future plans of doing a run of ladyfingers in a high end stainless (eg CPM 154, CPM S35VN or others)?

Kind regards
Mick

I just cut a Ladyfinger out of CPM 154. Its for an order though...:D

I know I didn't know what I was gettin' into on the handles, they are the best by far. Moose

That's ok bro, lol I knew what I was getting myself into when I handled several models at blade. Seeing how comfortable they were I knew it was going to be dangerous but I waded on in anyway :)

G'day Brian

Careful Mick, Andy's handles my spoil you :)
There's certainly lots of people who have commented on the comfort-in-hand of Andys' work :thumbup:

Who knows, if Andy takes up my offer, I just might find out for myself how comfortable they are in extended use :D

Kind regards

Being as the Ladyfinger is Andy's bird & trout knife, I could see how having one in a high-end stainless would be nice for salt and brackish water.

IMO, this is a very astute observation :thumbup:

As you already know, I spend a fair bit of time every year in and around saltwater.

Heck, I've even been known to do a bit of fishing :D

As good as O1 may be, I don't know of any of its' advocates that would recommend having it soaked in saltwater for hours at a time, for weeks on end :D

Kind regards

If I do a bar of them, do you want 1/8, or 3/32" thick?

I say, lets go 3/8" stock. I mean, bushcraft knives are being made so thin and fragile now adays, lets get some real beef on one of these guys.

:D I couldn't help it after the W&SS thread.

Andy, how about doing a run for me of various knives of yours in 154?

If you want to, you know how I roll. Just make what you want and let me know when to send a check! :)

Since I have dealt with Derrick on a number of occasions, he is my preferred retailer :thumbup::thumbup:

Andy, if you prefer, I'll place an order through Derrick for a 1/8 guardless ladyfinger in either CPM 154 or CPM S35VN with Cocobola scales (BTW, he can confirm I've already paid in advance ).

BTW Andy, I hope you don't mind me posting my thoughts after using it for 6 Months :D

Kind regards

SC, you can just get it through me. It gets complicated ordering through Derrick.

Okay. It is going to incur an upcharge. I hope all of y'all know this. I charged $60 each for the two I just made. (I charged $30 to use A2.)

Andy, how do you like working with CPM 154?
Scott

I like it OK. I've got two finished, and four more profiled and drilled. I've obviously gotta order some thinner stock. I've been using 5/32".
