Ladytoe

You folks need to understand that once a forum member suggests a name for a model, it is immediately eliminated from consideration by the Fiddleback crew. They choose their own names thank you. That is just the way it is.

Suggesting an actual model variation is even more verboten. How rude of the OP to even suggest a practical variation of a favorite model. Customers are supposed to buy knives, not influence the design of them. ;) :rolleyes:

Add me to the list of folks who like the idea of a Lil'Lady.

Ouch. This is satire, I hope.

Well, if that's the case, then we can all thankfully rest assured that Warrior108's compellation of "toe" nomen will rightfully be yanked from consideration.

A Ladyfinger - but shorter.

Old school style, bring blade and handle length to an OAL around 7"-7.5" tops... shorter better and keep the exact same ergos. Best FF I've held but I personally don't need such a large knife.

I'm on board. For me a 7.5" knife is my favorite size. I have one knife left @ 8.5" and the rest are gone from lack of use. I think a small lady would be great!!

Ladyfinger = large

So then...

Pinkyfinger = small

So medium must be...

Middlefinger

I like it!

This was just too funny Kris!

That is an interesting idea... (a smaller OSL).

Since last fall... I've been thinking that a somewhat larger/longer or slightly scaled up version of an OSL with an ~ 4-1/2" blade would make for a nice variation.

Andy already has the guarded fuller bellied blade shape on the Hunter but I think the thinner, sleeker blade shape and handle design of the OSL would be a cool contrast to the Hunter. Maybe it could be call the "Huntress"? :)

I like the ergonomics of the current Ladyfinger (handle) design but if you start shrinking the handle dimensions then you might start to lose the current sweet spot feel that it has when held in the hand? Also if you just keep the current handle design but shorten the blade length then the OAL balance and symmetry of the design might be affected?

10-4 on those comments. I don't know exactly "how" to do it, I just know I wan't it done and that Andy is the man! Maybe 1" off the blade and 3/8" off the handle? I'd say, after thinking about it some more, 7.5" +- could be the sweet spot, maybe a touch larger if needed.

Ok, I'm trying to keep up here. The Ladynub is the Bushnub?

Nope. The Bushnub is a smaller version of the Bushfinger.

The 'Ladynub' is a terrible name for a non-existent knife model.

EDIT: Because I have the pictures handy...

Bushfinger over Bushnub.

Yeah Andy, this was a little hyperbole and sarcasm to draw a reaction. I think there are some good ideas floating around in your customer base. Perhaps it is time for another design contest to bring all of these to light in a single thread. That's up to you of course.

Looking forward to seeing you at Blade again my friend.

Great idea.

And not Donovan's first "toe" design. Here's his short-blade Patch, which I call his X-Patch. It's a Donovan/Andy collaboration, you might say. (Donovan "toed" it, and Andy put a new tip on it.) With just the weight of a Runt, but a longer handle, it makes a great small EDC:

Blade: 2 11/16"
OAL: 6 14/16
Weight: 2.7 oz.

I miss that knife... one of my favorites. I'm glad to see your enjoying it!
