that's a sweetie. Man, I bet that would clean up real nice with a bit of elbow grease. If you ever wanna find a new home for it, Muddy, please look me up:)

Makes me smile when I see one of Matt's knives...this one's really a nice shape, with many lovely details, even though it's deceptively simple.

makes me smile when I see one of my knives that has been used.

It begs to be used Matt! I've held a few of your knives a few inchs bigger than this one and they all have that "must chop something" feel! Great work.

I have a Lamey with the same steel, and I've used it lots and I must say it is some very nice stuff to maintain. Keeps its edge and is easy on the touch up!
Again, great score Matt!

Leave it to Matt to find a hunter on steroids. Of course, it would be a Lamey. Super catch, Matt. Put me behind Lorien if you get tired of that one. :D

Thanks for the comments everyone. Lamey has a great pic on his site showing the hamon on this knife:

Here's some info on the knife from Matt:
"Steel is 1095 from Admiral, scales are some wood that Fikes let me use.... real old Macassar Ebony. Used clay to heat treat, was made as a small fighter, very large hunter."
