Here's a Lannys clip I just bought from a very talented young man who is 17 years old. I guess I can't mention his name because I don't think he's a member. I'll urge him to join. He lives quite near me here in Ontario. The knife is O1, sheep horn scales with Wrought iron bolster. This young man has a great future.

Best regards

Robin
These are captures he sent me.

I'll most definitely be sending you an email inquiring about this young mans name. To my eyes at least, that is one of the most attractive traditionals I have seen. you're a lucky man, Robin. :)

Wow! Doing that at 17 is amazing, can't wait to see how he progresses. I'm guessing in 10 years we could have a major talent.

Why cant you share the name? We talk about Case all the time and I don't think they're a member. Share this talented individuals name.

Thanks guys, I feel lucky to have aquired the knife. I think I'll let the mods decide whether I can add his name.

Best regards

Robin

Absolutely super, looking forward to finding out who this is and contacting him quickly!

Very talented indeed! That beauty if going to age well. I see the wrought iron bolster darkening and with the Rams horn...old world charm

That's a very fine looking knife! It's nice to see a fellow Ontarian taking such an early interest in knife making.

Hi Robin,
We differentiate between knife makers and knife sellers.
  • If you own the knife, you can say who made it and post pictures of it.
  • You wouldn't be able to post pics of other knives he has made that you do not own.
  • If he has a business making and selling knives and does not have a knife maker membership, then he cannot post pictures in his own posts of knives he has made.

Wow, that looks great. This kid has a promising future ahead of him.

I wish I could do anything that good at 17, wait check that, that comment still applies. Amazing work.

What a great example of the pattern. There are a lot of great visual elements going on here that I really like.

You will have to post more pictures up when it arrives!

Lovely through and through. Especially like the contrasting polish jobs on the blade and the patina'd bolster!
