Hello Everyone,
I bought a Lansky 4 rod turnbox style sharpener and was curious as to what degree I use for Case pocket knives (Mainly ss steel). This one has a 20 and 25 degree angles.
Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't do any blade at more than 40° inclusive (20° per side), at all. Case's blades will hold up fine, under normal uses (no prying, screwdriving, etc), at anything down to 30° at least. I've sharpened all mine at less than that, down to ~25° inclusive; and even a few below that. Case's thin grinds are beautiful slicers at narrower edge angles, and they'll upkeep and resharpen easily. For starting out, I'd generally recommend 30°; but, with a sharpener offering nothing narrower than 40°, start there.

From Case's own 'Caring for your Knives' page ( http://www.wrcase.com/case_college/collector_advice/caring.php ):
"Re-sharpening Your Knife

Hold the blade at a 10” to 15” angle from the surface of a sharpening stone. Maintain a constant angle and stroke the blade as if shaving a thin layer from the stone. Repeat the stroking motion along the entire edge of the blade starting at the blade heel and working to the tip. Turn the blade over and repeat the process. "

Their above advice would imply anything between 20° and 30° inclusive, for resharpening.
