I got a set of these today and even tho I am not used to them they put a great edge on my Benchmade EDC. Will try it out on my old 110 later and see what I get out of it.

But on the evidence of the Benchmade I think its a winner... :)

Hey Mav...
Been thinking of getting a set of those. Interested in your report on the 110.
Do you have to get shorter sticks to stay within the laws of your land? ;)

Funny!

he he no I will do the 110 later... but I think its gonna be fine. I admit I am sharpening challenged.. but the edge that the Lansky put on the Pika is amazing.. beleive me it would not cut paper without ripping it. Now is scary sharp after only 10 mins :)

I hope you got the PRO set with the medium and fine longer sticks... Love mine...

i bought a lanscy set with the guide years ago, i used it for a while to fix the edges on bady abused knives then slowly stoped...
i have a 6 inch high voltage porclian fuse (like a dog bone) i use as a pocket freshner for work knives and a scribed tungston rod as a steel for ones i will be cutting meat with... the crock rods were not handy to cary or have in a tool box due to breakage...
around the shop i use 800 to 1000 grit auto finish wet sand paper on glass to do an edge on knives and planer steels

Crock's rock! I've been using them for 25 +/- years! They're wicked when used with my Lansky kit. - Two thumbs (with band-aids) up!!

Yeah well they do a really nice job... on all my knives regardless of the steel. Anyways gonna go for a few days now... going camping with Dad and gonna give him his Buck Strider 882 in ATS34 :) Hope he is happy with it

i have only seen the pro a couple of times as far as i know they are the same as the deluxe with 5 hones then there is the standard with 4 hones i want a set also but want to be sure i get the proper ones i have also seen on another thread (straight razors in the general forum) where they mention a seller that will put together a kit for your individual needs (strops, glass, papers, stones) and i am very tempted to try that as well

Hi I went into town today. They do carry the Lansky sharpeners here! Just in the "better" section of knife sharpeners.
I bought the Deluxe Set. It also said professional model on package hope its right! Maybe try it out tomorrow! There was also A diamond set for $60.00? How are these????
Jim

Well my Dad loved the knife :)

And the Lansky is working well on all the blades...even my old S&W Bootknife. Works really good...

Where are you finding a 5-stick set and/or diamond rods for Lansky crock stick sharpeners? Even the Lansky web site doesn't list them.
