Lansky or Spyderco

Based solely on internet lore, my recent and first sharpening system was a Sharpmaker. i got it got $50.00 shipped on Amazon. To say that I am pleased is an understatement. I was always one to have others sharpen my knives for me as i don't have the free time to do it by hand. Within 15 inutes of opening the box, I had 4 knives shaving hair off my arms and legs. Not sure of the Lansky, but the Spyderco is GTG.

no one likes the DMT aligner?

I much prefer the DMT Aligner over the Lansky and the GATCO, but the OP's question didn't ask about it. I gave away my Lansky set and my GATCO set up, much preferring the versatility of the DMT.

These days I use the Sharpmaker, the DMT Aligner, and the EdgePro Apex regularly, and the RazorEdge clamps on occasion.

I just got my Spyderco Sharpmaker in the mail yesterday and I have to say, over all I am impressed with it. However I am having a hard time sharpening a few Benchmade's. I took a few Spyderco blades and a letherman blade to it and it did an amazing job. I still think I am going to be getting the Lanskey as well. What are some other higher end sharpening systems that people have and really like? Thank you for all you responses. They are greatly appreciated.

I'm new to blade forums, Got a new Sebenza few week ago, I have a lansky diamond kits, I try it on my Benchmade 707, its look ok in my book, but when I see the Wicked edge sharpener, I think that is best way. got to do more research, little too expensive, but if you are knife lover is worth it every penny.
