Lanyard hole placement

This is a larger version of a knife I've already made. The first ones didn't have a lanyard hole and if had a guy say he would like one but with a lanyard hole. I haven't done any with one yet and am not sure where to put it. One pin and then the hole, two pins and a hole? I'm just not sure what the layout should be. Any suggestions would be appreciated and feel free to critique the knife design also. I will be using 3/16 corby rivets and not sure on the lanyard hole.

Here are 2 I did a while ago. The middle pin was not very far back on the first one. I got some feedback to place it back further next time.

Heres the second one with the middle pin further back. I think it looks much better that way.

Yeah the second looks better. I may just do one in front and the hole in the back. I'm worried if it's too close to the edge it would look funny contoured.

I prefer lanyard tubes on small/medium knives to be at the bottom corner (lower, edge-side) of the butt. Simply because that way, the lanyard itself is not in my way, or annoying the meaty part of my thumb while I'm using the knife.

If the handle is long enough for your hand, the lanyard can serve to lock your hand onto the handle. It looks great in the drawing.

So how would the lanyard lay once the knife is in the sheath and on the hip. I prefer it being at the end, bottom, as it allows the lanyard to lay naturally at the back of the sheath. When retrieving the knife, as I like a high sheath, I grip the lanyard by the little finger and lift starting it out of the sheath. The hand then lays into the full handle for proper grip.

So I like the lanyard at the bottom end of the knife.
