Lanyard ideas?

After reading this thread I started paying attention to whether or not I actually use the lanyard or not on my small Insingo. I realized that I don't use it to pull the knife from my pocket, but I use it when closing the knife one-handed. I find that my pinkie finger wraps around the lanyard and gives me more leverage to push the lockbar. I was considering removing the lanyard altogether, but I think I will keep it for that one purpose. Also, I am sure there are some of you out there like me that prefer to keep things "stock."
