Was a slow news day here in the Poconos, got to thinking (Uh Oh:eek:)

Imagine, there was no one to discuss/debate the merits of Lanyards or Fobs on Hinderer XM EDC knives.

Thoughts? Pics? Stories of being glad the XM EDC had one?

A FieldTac would be a No Brainer but the XM....

I put em' on, take them off, change length/style/cord. Haven't decided yet.

Found this.....Didn't help with my XM quandry but was generally a good vid

May be more a diary than a discussion but screwed around with this all day (actually pretty relaxing day) deliberately did not look at ideas just kept trying
different styles/lengths/material(s) until I found the answer.
The first answer was: Yes, I like one on, uses the holes but as a use on an XM EDC it really helps get it out of my pocket safe and secure.
The second answer (design) turned out to be basically what the Hinderer Lanyard looks like Sans the slip bead (wasn't part of the experiment).
Another thing added to the Hinderer "gotta get" list. The Hinderer Lanyard way better looking.
Shouldn't have been any surprise there but hey if I had looked first.... what would I have done all day:)

I like a lanyard if the hole is sticking out of my pocket. The ZT0560, with its deep carry clip and lanyard hole in the pocket, I don't like a lanyard with.
I too have been playing around with different lengths and styles. With my XMs, I like to just use the lockside hole. I also use a slip knot for easy removal when I change my mind.

I like to use a lanyard and use them on most of my knives. The one thing I hate about the XM is the lanyard hole position being too far forward. Right behind the last standoff would have been perfect or a even a cord tie bar similar to the sebenzas. As it is I can't use it because it feels like it is always under my hand.
This one will never see XM duty.
