lanyard or not

I've got one small Sebenza that I took the clip off and I carry in a pouch, it's got the lanyard attached. The ones I carry using the clips have all had the lanyards removed.

My large starbenza has the lanyard and I really like the looks of it especially with the silver spacer. Does kind of draw attention to the knife though. I just tuck the lanyard forward in my pocket and it disappears for the most part and this way I keep it handy for when I need/want it.

I take them off. I don't find them necessary when clipped, and when not clipped, they take up more pocket space.

simple lanyard for me:

That's the style lanyard I use on my folders. May have an Atwood bead tied in there or a couple of knots, but I like it when they get limp and just drop straight down from the pocket. Sometimes I take some of the stuffing out of the paracord depending on what I'm trying to do.

I like the new style of lanyard that CR uses. I got some beads and learned to tie the style. It works great for me. It makes getting the knife out of the pocket a little easier, makes pulling it out of the calfskin pouch easier and if when tied close to the but of the knife it won't fall in and get cut by the blade tip.

I like the knot so much I have been using it on my other knives as well.

It depends. I tend to use a lanyard on my Sebenzas & nothing on my Umnumzaan. Regardless, I've never used the lanyard that comes with CRKs, I like using one I made or picked up from someone & usually with something on it (Skull, Ti bead, etc).
