Lanyards and Beads

Great lanyards guys. I just made this one for Willic. I'm not a lanyard fan myself but these are sure sweet.

It's amateur but functional. I wasn't sure how long to make it so it can be undone to a preferred length.

The problem with many beads you find that are very cool is that they are either to big or small for paracord.

I was about to say, the hammer bead appears to be on paracord in that photo, which gives a decent estimate as to size.

Adian, is that guy on the forums here? If not, can you shoot me a pm with his info please?

What function does the lanyard serve? They look cool, but is there a purpose I am unaware of, or are they just for looks?

I would be more worried about the weight on the hammer. Not as much as if it were on a folder.

It's all titanium, so the weight isn't bad. They serve more as a decoration and having some additional paracord if needed. Some have survival stuff woven in

On folders they serve more as a fob to get ahold of to draw the knife. I really can't go without one on a folder. For fixed blades they can be just fobs for looks, used to carry fire steels or other kit stuff,or made longer to use as wrist lanyards and also just a great way to always have some cordage.

I'd like to find someone making a functional fixed blade bead lanyard that has a loop big enough for your wrist.

I extend the loop on my skull and dragon lanyards to 8 in so you can put your hand through the loop.

Thanks for the helpful reply, though I did have to look up "fob". Seems like a good idea. I'm gonna try it out. I'm also gonna use the word "fob" as often as possible from now on!

My Swedged Boss Street is getting fitted for pants, so I don't have it here to photograph with its lanyard and beads, so this will have to do...

It's a Dave Wenger Custom I designed to pair with my Winkler Combat Hammer Axe (and Dave NAILED it!!!)...

I'll post up the pics of the Boss Street when it comes back so there's some Busse content in this post, but since this is a Lanyard/Bead specific thread, I thought this slight stray might be okay.;)

Hope its not to much, but i think my Busses can handle it [emoji6]
