To lanyard or not. What say you? Show your sportage! Here's mine. Titanium bead is held in place by o-ring.
Second pic is the snake knot I just learned.

I say lanyards for every man woman and child!

Use to hate lanyards until my first Sebenza. Now I won't go without.

What I dig about them on Sebenzas and my Umnumzaan is that you can tuck them into your pocket when your knife is clipped so it's out of the way and for me it makes for easier extracting. I really dig the lanyard and pin combo on CRK's.

I had to cut off the Lanyard it came with from factory as I could NOT take that thing off at all, so I had to cut it. I would have liked to possibly keep it but planned on tying my own. I did like Beau did and took out the lanyard pin as well and just tied my lanyard like I do on other knives.
Crappy pics but I think the Electric Blue and Mind Skull Bead suit this guy well.

I have to admit to being a fan of the lanyard. They provide a whole 'nother area of personal expression and diversification. Besides that I find them practical, as mentioned previously by others here.

Wild color combinations and skull beads is where it's at.....!! :D lol

Never even thought about a lanyard before the Mighty Zaan hit my hand. I have designated knife pockets in most of my pants/shorts, so I don't really need the benefit of a lanyard to gain quick access to my knife. However, I think Desert Hermit captured it best for me, in that it's a means by which to personalize your tool. So, I'm going to embrace the lanyard (at least on my Zaan) and dress it up a bit. My Chad Nichols Titanium Damascus bead should be here next week, can't wait.

Nope. No lanyard. Just not for me. Was gone within the first five minutes of getting my first Sebenza.

Since I wear my Sebenza in slacks, I don't like anything dangling out of my pocket...so the lanyard had to go. Then when I realized that the rotating metal piece rattled in the handle without the lanyard there, it had to go too. No lanyards on any of my knives...they just don't seem to add much functional use for me.

Looking forward to pictures when you get it set up.
Sounds unique!

Just got this one today from the CRK shop. They call it Bucky Blue Camo. I think it looks cool offsetting the blue stud and standoff.

if it's in a belt sheath id rather not have one on, if its in the pocket I like having one. would love to learn more knots and lanyard styles.

Here's mine, easily opened for a functional lanyard in the field:
