Lanyards?

I like the look of a lanyard on a Sebenza or Umnumzaan.

In general, I like a lanyard that is nearly as long as the knife. That way, when I have dirty hands or gloves on, I can leave the lanyard hanging out for easy retrieval. When I don't need it, the lanyard gets tucked back in my pocket - out of sight and danger of being caught and pulled out. I do not like the stubby lanyard that comes with the knife; I just don't see the point of it for utilitarian use.

It's actually very interesting because everyone has a different opinion, and a good reason, for what they do - I like seeing all of the variations out there!
