I am carrying a BM Stryker and have gotten then idea that I might like to have a good looking lanyard on it. What is the most popular material used for lanyardmaking for knives?

Alos, I have a BM Carson Cub (I think that's the name) and I am in need of a clip for it. Anyone have any extra laying around? Please advise.

Thanks--

David

The most common lanyard material I have encountered is ordinary 550 paracord.

I am sure an Eagle Scout can tie a hangman's noose; however, should any one else have any knot questions, they will probably be answered here: http://www.realknots.com/knots/index.htm

Some really cool animations of how to tie several different knots can be found here: http://thames.northnet.org/ropeworks/text/arch.html

One thing about a lanyard or neck cord. It should not be too strong. Take the center out of about 1/2" from each end of the paracord, then heat seal the remaining cover parts of the paracord together. Some people like bead chain for this purpose for the same reason.

Oh, if the lanyard is all tied up in a noose, it is technically a fob, not a lanyard.

Hope this helps, Walt
