Hi all, its been a while since my last post. Today I am offering a drop point hunting knife with a handle made of stacked birch bark inspired by the leuku knife from Lapland.
The blade was forged from 80CrV2, heat treated to HRC 59, and has a polished forged texture with satin finished bevels. There is a tiny microbevel, and this blade glides through receipt paper.
As mentioned, the handle is stacked birch bark, with a soldered bolster and peened pommel made of nickel silver. Birch bark is naturally water repellant and has excellent grip, even when your hands are wet.
The cowhide sheath is handmade and has great retention, without having to struggle to remove the knife.
OAL: 8-5/8"
Blade
Length: 4.5"
Width: 1.06"
Spine: .190"
Price: $315 incl. shipping CONUS or Canada. I will ship elsewhere for a little extra.
If you're interested, please post 'I'll take it' below, and then PM me with your contact information to arrange shipping and payment (via PayPal). Thanks for looking, and feel free to ask questions. Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.
Regards,
Fred
