I saw a picture of a knife I made quite a while ago and said to myself, "I should make one like that again." So I did. Here it is.

This one is forged 1095, clay coated for a nice hamon. The forge scale was left on the flats and the spine is fileworked.

The handle is some very nice Mesquite burl. It is held in place with 3 regular pins and one mosaic, along with acraglas.

The sheath is 7-8oz hand tooled and stitched leather. The knife fits snugly and draws easily.

I really like the general style and shape of this one.

Dimensions
Blade - 8 1/2" tip to handle
OAL - 13 1/2"

Price - $345 shipped to US. I prefer paypal to matt@baileyknives.com, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

Ok I'm letting this go only cause I have been blessed with recent catches, but if it stays here too long I may not be able to resist.

Thank you JQP I was about to post for it.

Matt that burl kept drawing me back for another look. I do need one that size in my collection. Maybe an 8" San Mai Neo.
