This is a rather large chef knife(8") it has allot of taper to the blade. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. It has a thin, flat grind to it very comfortable koa handle this is a right handed knife it is carved out on the left side for you fingers. I have pretty big hands so I like the wider blade for knuckle clearance.

Here are some more specifics:

Length: 13"(8" blade)
Width: 2 3/8"(good knuckle clearance)
Spine Thickness: .108"(a touch over 3/32 but has allot of taper)
Edge thickness a 1/4" behind the edge: .016"
Edge thickness: .005
Weight: 7.50 oz (Balance point is right at the finger choil)

Steel: AEB-L (stainless, very fine grained steel)
Handle: Has an awesome piece of Curly Koa from J.Doyle and white G10 liners
Loveless Pins
Finish: 400 grit hand sanded finish

Comes in a KnifeDogs Case

Price: $325(sale)Shipped to your door(International buyer would need to contact me and will pay extra shipping)

Looks good Daniel.
I finally got the petty knife in the mail and gave it to the cook. She's loving it.
Pity this one is out of my budget because they'd make a nice pair.

Thanks Rumbo! I hope she likes if for long while! Chef knives are really practical kind of knives...I'm pretty fond of this one myself.
Best Regards!

your knife is not rather large. it is the minimum size for a professional chef knife/serious cook. range is 8"-10" for most folks.
That knife is mighty pretty imho. I don't have the xtra cash to justify the cost cause i brought a new chef knife already after long consideration.

the handle on that thing is one of the best i have ever seen. simply gorgeous look to it & the function doesn't suffer. your fit and finish looks superb too . would you like to play best 2 out of 3 (speed chess) 5 minute blitz games for that knife. :) normally i would mean that, but my mind/heart isn't chess capable now. i found a way to kill my dog without realizing it could happen. damn vet...

Hummm...That's interesting, I'm no professional chef but I thought this would be a very substantial sized chef knife(one the would be a main use knife) I like the wider blade though... it good to know what others like.
Best Regards!
