May I suggest Two things:
For a machete, try the TOPS .230 machete. Great piece of gear, tough as nails, supposedly a reworked ontario machete. Good bang for your buck. One of the few machetes that has a decent sheath. There's a couple of reviews on the forum. Love mine.
For a hawk, the new CRKT Kangee can make a great camp tool. Tough SK5 steel, not too heavy, not too sharp. Good as a weapon, of course. Some are worried about poking themselves with the spike, but I wouldn't worry too much. The hammer on the poll version is too small to be of any use. I also love this one.
