This is a large bowie that I started forging for a different project. It is some of Aldo's W2, forged to about 5/32" thick. I took it out and did some decent chopping with it to make sure it would handle the stuff I threw at it, and it did. It is quite a slicer also. I clay coated the blade for a nice hamon. There is rope filework down the first few inches of the spine also.

Handle - The handle is Bocote, with Micarta and G10 spacers and nickel silver. It is sculpted and shaped to fit in the hand well. Just holding it makes me want to swing it around.

Sheath - The sheath is a blade sheath. The Tom Brown stud allows it to be slipped inside the belt from either side, and the stud keeps it from slipping all the way through. It is hand tooled and hand stitched leather from Wickett and Craig.

Dimensions,
Blade - 10 " tip to guard
OAL - 15 1/4"

Price - $400 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

Another masterpiece Mr. Bailey:thumbup: I can't wait until the day I can afford to scoop one up. Of course a knife like that would probably just end up being a queen in my hands:rolleyes:

Sweet mercy. How I wish I could turn back the clock and be here when it was available.

Great score, MKP!

If your first buyer changes his mind I will take this beauty! My PayPal account is literally humming with the desire to add this beaut to my hunting kit.

Greedy bastard. :D You probably own the majority of Bailey knives in existence. It is never enough for you, isn't it? Have you no shame. I would love to see your collection one of this day.

Why would I be ashamed of owning some of Matt's knives? :D

I'm aware of at least 5 collections much larger than mine. In fact, I've sold quite a few of Matt's knives to focus my collection on his often hard to find larger (6"+) blades.

This one would have been great in the large blade collection. I admit to being envious of your new purchase, but I'm glad it's going to a fan and a good home.
