LARGE Bull Elk opening morning - Pic's added

Congrats on the nice bull. Missouri is a boring state for hunting. About as exciting as it gets is hunting whitetails, turkeys, and predators.
 
wow that's nice. I'm getting hungry looking at that big pile of meat! kind of sucks that a tine had broken of but it's a really nice trophy anyway. (not that it's all about the trophy but it's always nice to get a good trophy) :P

VERY nice, rifle, knife, and elk.

Gotta admit, I'm a little jealous. I'm a late-blooming, fledgling hunter myself, and the knack I have for being where the deer aren't, while the deer themselves pop up through the brush like dolphins where I was just at a half hour ago ....

I think the deer are watching me.

Sounds like a helluva good shot at 140 yards with, essentially, open sights. Especially considering he went down hard. Well done. Enjoy that meat!
 
That's some good eating. My wife likes to make elk pizza.
Very nice knife. I like peep sights on my rifles also.
