This is a butcher knife that would be good for roast, hams, briskets etc. It is out of forged 1084 and the grind is special. It is called a zero grind where I ground the bevel all the way to where it is sharp. All that I did was polish the edge. There is no secondary bevel. VERY sharp! To keep it razor sharp and cutting well is to use a steel correctly. It has a true Brazilian rosewood. This is the wood Gibson guitar got in trouble for importing. This is a stash I have had a while. Very nice wood and will last a lifetime as long as it is cared for, like never in a dishwasher. This is a large knife. 15 7/8 inches overall, 10 1/4 inch blade and 1 3/4 inch at it's widest. I fine piece of cutlery. I asking "sold" and 15.00 for priority mail. I take check or money order only.
