That's a beauty of a chopper!

Did you do a differential heat treat on this, meaning is the spine softer than the sharpened side? Have you done any test chopping with this one or a similar one?

I've got a couple of Gerry's big knives and, IMO, there isn't a better deal going for the $$$'s!

Gatogordo Your gonna love it!!

I have had Gerry make me 4 knives and am happy with every one of em.

No, I don't see any reason to do a differential heat treat to a blade unless I wanted to demonstrate that I have the ability to do it by bending it in a vice to 90 degrees. (And I do know how to do that)

William.M posted some photos of some testing he did on a very similar knife on Wilderness and Survival. His pictures have been removed so I did not reference his posting here. He cut a sheet of plywood, cut some fair size trees and split some firewood. I have done those same things myself in the past.

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't used a chopper such as this before and I always wondered if it really made a difference or not if it was differentially heat treated. I'm sure that you create a fine chopper. I've had the pleasure to use a few of your knives and have been quite impressed.

That is a beautiful blade. Any plans on making another just like it? I'd be really interested in purchasing one.

Taking top bid......going once, going twice.....

just kidding, guys. Looking forward to using it. Just call me quicktype. :D
