Large cleaver, 5160 steel, hemp wrap handle [SOLD]

Large cleaver, forged from 5160 bar.

Forged closest to shape with minimum grinding, wet forged and wire brushed after forging.
Clean bevels with just few tiny forging marks. Tapered tang and distal taper towards the tip.
Rounded back and heel for more comfortable grip.
After heat treatment, flats and bevels are brushed with scotch brite.

Handle material: Hemp wrap soaked in epoxy resin.

No sheath included, but i can make one for extra fee.

Blade length -10,25"
Blade width - 3,6" (middle part of the blade)
Thickness -0,4" at the touchmark
Distal taper towards the tip, thickness at the tip is 0,25"
Tang tapers to 0,2"
Cleaver weights 3lb and 8oz (56oz)

Yes, it it takes some more work to make it, but its fun and i like to make them.

I'm really glad you like that cleaver.
I started to make larger cleavers and there are more on the way. Id like to make one or two even bigger, 0,5" thick and a bit wider blade (the ultimate tool of destruction )
