Large D-Guard Bowie

This one listed on ebay yesterday.
The 1075-80 blade is 12" x 2" x 1/4" ( 3/8" at the blade catchers ).
Overall is 17.25". The scales are curly maple on the full tang.

I like it, kinda makes me think 1850 - 1860's retro. Bet the boys in blue or gray would have loved to have had that blade when they went in harms way.
