Large, drop point hunting knife. Hand forged from Aldo's 1095, hand polished, showing a very active hamon.

Blade length: 5 1/2 inches
Overall length: 10 inches
spacer/guard: cold blued wrought iron
handle grip: Philippine Narra (Narra is the tree that produces Amboyna burl)

Thanks Shaughnessy. Yep, Narra. This was cut from a board I had in storage (in the CA desert), for over 20 years. Given to me by a friend who had spent time in the philippines and brought it back to the US with him. All those years, I had no idea that it had such beautiful figure. Very hard, stable wood with wonderful chatoyance. Wish I had more.
