large fixed blade for the bush

I use either my Camillus Marine Corps Knife or
my Cold Steel Bushman in a Spec-Ops Survival Sheath.
I've used the Camillus hunting, hiking, camping
and backpacking for over 35 years, I've had the Bushman
for about 6 or 7 years both work great.
The sheath for the Camillus has been wearing out and
I wasn't crazy about the Bushman's sheath.
The Spec-Ops sheath is great and took care of both
sheath problems. I carry a Leatherman, lighter, and small
Flashlight in the Spec-Ops pouch.
I added a rubber cork to the handle on the Bushman
and can carry a fire kit or other goodies if I'm
carrying it.

7.5 I was wondering about putting a kit in the handle did you cork both ends or just one. Id love to be able to seal it up and put stuff in in but I wasnt sure about sealing up the end closest to the knife blade. and Im not crazy bout the sheath either.- Joel

+1 for the Camp Tramp, or, if you can afford it a Fusion Steel Heart

PS. Dan, where can I get one of those 120s?

I stuffed a small natural cork down through the handle to plug the blade end the taper
of it matches the inside taper of the handle. I have a rubber cork for the hole on the butt end. Both can be removed. The natural cork can be used as a bobber in a pinch,
the rubber cork is a size 5 1/2 .
I also added skateboard tape to the handle for extra grip.
Whatever kit I store inside is sealed in plastic to waterproof & keep it from rattling.
I also keep a couple small screws in my kits just in case I decide to make a spear.
The Spec-Ops survival sheath straps are adjustable to almost any knife,
( it fits all of my large fixed blade knives) so the $40-$50 cost was well
worth it for me and it's WELL made.
I'd tell you the Bushman is a great knife but you probably figured that out all ready......

How about a khukuri from Himalayan Imports?

For the bush, you might want a razor and some wax...
