Large Fixed Blade

If your strapped for cash and in need a large simple camp knife IMO it's hard to beat the Condor Hudson Bay knife. 1075 carbon steel, leather sheath and a sub-50 dollar price tag to boot.

I have a BK9 that is well used. My next big blade will be a 911 or one of the big Ontario blades made from 5160.

I have a BK9 and a Boomslang... as a pure chopper, the boomslang is the clear winner. For multi-purpose use, the BK9 is better

also the new condor warlock looks to be a beast. I'll own one asap

The Buck Hoodlum is a great knife for batoning, but not so great at chopping due to its light weight. The Ontario Marine Raider is an astoundingly good knife for batoning and chopping, but it's on the heavy side. Still, if you can cart it, it does the job. You might try watching Nutnfancy's "Why Big Knives Don't Suck" on YouTube for further recommendations and outlooks. It seems that for every knife that has an advantage, there's also a detriment that must be weighed into the equation.

BK9, CS Trailmaster, Junglas, Ka-Bar or Cold Steel kukri machete or go for a real traditional Nepalese kukri.

I've handled a Junglas. Didn't like it. Had an Ontario RTAK II. Sold it. Own and use a Becker BK-9 and it's great. All sorts of cool mods you can do to it, or you can just chop the living snot out of stuff with it.
