"Bowie knives are my specialty, big ones and bigger ones, 14 in. to 16 in., up to 18 in. long. I also make a lot of Bowies that are only 9 in. to 10 in. long. I even build swords and daggers up to about 30 in. long. These blades are forged from new 5160 steel and heat treated by myself.
All of my forged blades are zone tempered (hard edge spring temper spine)."
"I subscribe to the Neo Tribal way of thinking. These knives are finished with a rustic look which is just like it came form the forge. The bevels are ground, giving the knife blade a two tone look. This is done to keep the cost down and to appeal to the Black Powder/ Buckskinner / Cowboy era person."

Description: The balance falls slightly forward of the guard. The blade has an Appleseed grind and a false edge on the spine. The brass fittings are highly polished and look great against the turquoise spacer and the ironwood handle.
Gib is well known for his rustic designs and excellent fit and finish.
Gib Guignard passed away in 2006. Gib, who was a third generation blacksmith and knife maker was an authentic person.
