Hi Folks,

I'm not known for wood handle knives but I love curly koa and black walnut. I just have to use this material once or twice a year but the rest of the time, it's Fossil Ivory :D

I had this bowie on my available page a few months ago for $2100. Thought I had it sold but it fell through. I've been thinking of re-handling it in ivory but just can't bring myself to do it.

This one has a 12" blade forged from 1-3/8" round 1086M (Howard Clark steel) 1-3/4" wide and 3/16" thick at the guard. Very light for it's size! Clay heat treated for hamon. Damascus fittings and stabilized curly Koa from Hawaii. 18k gold pin. 17-3/8" over all length.

Special Price, $1700 shipped overnight in a Bill's Custom Case. Paypal OK. Thanks for looking. (Sale Pending, Thanks!)

I'd love to see the knife described so well but without pictures one can only use their imagination.

Really nice work Don !

It never ceases to amaze me, how, when trying to capture Hamon in an image, it can pop or nearly disappear, with a simple change in camera attitude.

In regards to the handle, IMHO this one looks great ! Glad you decided to keep the Koa. It's a beautiful piece  :)

Craig, this is some of the stabilized stuff, I really like this wood.

David, yeah the koa handle works well on this piece. This should have sold long ago? I might keep it

Thanks, guys!
