This is my favorite blade to date, balanced just right very light in the hand.

That is a beautiful blade! Forgive me for my ignorance, but what is the Spanish Notch at the heal of the blade? I see those every so often...and don't know if it is a functional feature or something else.

Thanks!

Thanks GnK! I have gotten that question quite often actually. My answer is not going to make you feel much better.

Things I have heard:
1. Blade catcher during knife fights (This design wouldn't work well for that)
2. Similar function to a Choil notch to help ease of sharpening
3. Blood Drip to create a spot for blood to drip off blade instead of running onto handle (Kukri explanation)
4. Cause it looks pretty cool... Yep

Ryan: That is an elegant fighter - very nice photography as well - well done.

I really appreciate all the comments, It is very nice to hear feedback on this fighter!
