This is a large "leukuchete" blade, done in 1/8 inch sawblade material. This is a tested steel with a known heat treat.

Blade is nominally 1/8 inch thick, 10 5/8 inches long. Overall length of the knife is 15 3/4 inches.

Blade has a convex grind, with a differential heat treat.

Handle is padauk, with an epoxied linen cord wrap. Bolster and butt are steel fromt he same plate as the blade, with a peened tang.

Sheath is the standard (standard!?!) Koyote Girl special, waterformed, double needle hand stitched on all seams. Belt loop is sewn to the horizontal strap and can't be cut by the blade.

Asking $185, SOLD
thanks!

Edited to replace photos with better shots.

sheath and details of the construction of the ranger model sheath on the rear. All seams are sperate- the horizontal strap can be removed without disturbing the main welt stitching for repair if needed.

Dang it Koyote, you should not post stuff like that after I have already spent every dime I had getting ready for camping, hiking and Christmas

Boy, thats a sweetie. Maybe after the first............. will have to check the budget, taxes and crap like that. I hate it when real life interferes with my blade acquisitions.

For those of you who haven't seen my earlier reviews of Christof's big leuku, it really is a performer at chopping while being very light weight and easy to pack. Carrying this blade is much nicer on the hips than a 1/4" chunk of steel and this thing will chop with the best of them. I'm also jealous of the gorgeous sheath included with this model and adoption of Christof's penetrator-type tip. I've seen his tip like this on another camp blade and it is great.

If you are the market for a great chopper that doesn't disappoint for its ease of carry this is a great choice. If I didn't already have nearly the same one as posted here, I'd be digging in my pockets for this one!

The new tip is pretty sweet- if you want at some point, kgd, I can do a retrofit- or rick probably could :D
