Hey gang! It's SOLD! Thanks for looking!

Dr. H here, I am moving a few more knives out to help fund my next EDC project.

NOTE: So when I say OBO I do mean make me an offer. Seriously, if you like it then lets talk because this bowie needs to go to a new home where it will have lots of space (unlike my jam packed safe).

More Photos? Sure I will happily email them to you!

PayPal? Sure no problem. Seriously, I do prefer it.

Money Order? Postal will work for me!

Trades? Well I do like Bussee, Swamp Rat, Microtech (OTF preferred), and CRK so hit me up. Heck a Surefire XC1 would come in handy too!

Giant sack of gold? Your my kinda buyer! Step this way pardner!

Contact? PM / message me on BF or email at hunter (underscore) elam (at) me (dot) com

First to Reply to the Post AND Message me (or Email me) with an "I'll take it" get's it.

So on to the Large Matt Lamey Bowie! Lets do this!

I bought this amazing bowie new directly from Matt directly a few years ago. It has never been carried, cut with, or sharpened and has been in the safe since I received it.

It is a fantastic knife and honestly is one of the best made bowie knives I have owned. This is his "medium working finish" which shows just a few very light forge marks near the top of the spine (vs the complete high polish). I wanted something that looked old world/hand made and he nailed that look!

The handle is the best combination of comfort and grip with an amazing chunk of wood that looks superb. Even with the huge blade and thick spine this knife is perfectly balanced. The sheath fits like a glove and is very well made. He even textures the back of it so it wont slip around under the belt when carried.

Blade dimensions: 11 inch long, 1 7/8 inch wide, around 5/8 inch thick (I packed up my micrometer for the move).
Blade Steel: 1095FG with a differential heat treat and convex edge, clip sharp
Blade finish: Semi polished
Guard: Blue Steel
Handle: Curly Maple
Overall Length: 16.5 inch
Leather sheath with stud.

So whether it is for your knife collection, your next buffalo hunting trip out west, your SASS rig, or your next sandbar fight this Matt Lamey Bowie will get it done!

Asking: $425 OBO shipped (CONUS) so hit me up!

Thanks for looking!

Dr. H

For those who may not know, Matt is no longer with us. He was a master smith and made one hell of a traditional Bowie.

Damn! I just spoke to him this morning....things happen fast. [emoji15]

On a serious note, you'll be glad to know Matt is alive and well, he's too ornery to die. [emoji106]

Yikes! So sorry about that, I owned one of Matt's Bowies and met him at Blade many years ago. Makes a hell of a knife. But I thought he had passed away, must have confused him w another maker. Glad I was wrong but my praise for his work stands!
