Large or small........ which size Sebenza do you like best?

I was just sitting around wondering which size Sebbie most people liked and used the most. I first had a large regular, but I thought that it was a little on the big side so I traded it for a small classic and I have been very pleased with it. I have carried it almost non-stop for six or seven months and it has become my favorite knife of all. I'm saving my pennies right now for a small regular with the new S30V blade. As you can see I like the small the best, which one do you prefer? Thanks.

I don't own a large...yet. I've been carrying a small regular for almost a year. I got an Umfaan two months ago for a dress knife. The small is the perfect EDC for me. No other has even come close. I'm saving for a small classic in S- 30- V.

Well, let me be the first to reply in favor of the large. I find it to be just about the perfect size as I prefer folders with blades in the 3 1/2" - 3 3/4" range.

I currently have my sites set on a small wood inlay with S30 blade as my next CRK purchase. Will have to email Bridget and see if there are any 2003 left up for grabs.

But I also carry an Obenauf Large Model 1 to supplement it. I like folders in either the sub-3" or >4" ranges, and not much in between.

Just my preference though...

I've owned both. . . :D

Definitely prefer large !

The small is just too small. :(

Presently, I only have larges in my gathering.

Small regular which i have owned for three years. Have my name on the list for a small 2003 woody.

I prefer the small. BUT....for camping and other more heavy duty use, I would love to have a Sebenza with a 4" blade in 3/16" stock.

I had been carrying a large using the pocket clip in the rear pocket. After having ripped two car seats from the clip, and cutting myself when the blade opened slightly while in my pocket, I now carry front pocket, blade against the seam.

As such the large is too big to conveintly access anything else in the pocket, keys, etc.

So my vote goes for small.

Large is definitely my favorite. I have large hands, the and the large sebenza fits so perfectly, I could believe it was custom designed for me.

However, the small is the perfect size for daily use (although it is a little small for my hands). So, although I much prefer my large, it almost never gets used. I carry my small practically 24/7, and use it constantly. My poor large... Somedays I wish I had a dimensionally unstable Sebenza, so it would look like a small, but actually be a large. :)

I had a small regular for a while but as it seemed OK in size, I always felt it was a little to small. Then I got a large Classic which looked huge compared to the small. But now that I am acustomed to the large I'll never go back to the small.

The small regular is perfect for me! The blade can handle anything with ease and it is more people-friendly:)

Small.
I liked my large plain, but sold it because it wasn't my favorite knife in that size range, and wasn't being used.
The small plain on the other hand was responsible for a halt in buying, and the sale of five other knives (3 BMs and 2 Spydercos), which had no chance of taking the small Sebenza's place in the pocket. The only other folders I now own in the <3.5" range are SAKs, and a few that were given to me as gifts.
...and I won't be buying any more:)

.........LARGE and in charge:rolleyes: Never owned a small, and can't really say I have even handled one. The large is an edc for me with no problem. I like the extra heft and the 3.5+" blade is about the smallest I want to go on a primary carry folder. I carry a Spyderco Toad for the small tasks.

Kutch.......I own both types of larges and the Classic just seems bigger than the regular. Just waiting now for CRK to call and tell me my lare wood inlaid Classic with S30V and doublr thumblugs is ready.:D
