Large or small........ which size Sebenza do you like best?

the small

My first was a large unique that I loved. When I first received the small I almost sent it back it just seemed too small, but after I carried it for a few days it grew on me and it is always in my pocket. My large hardly ever gets carried now.

I don't own the large, but I handled them both when I was deciding which one to buy.

The small seb is the perfect size for my EDC. I work in front of a computer all day, so I don't have much need for a large folder. I own both a Spyderco Wenger and a Microtech LCC MC, which are about the same size as the large seb. That size is simply too large for me to carry around at work all day. (And as most of the sheeple at work don't carry any knife at work, I've gotten some strange looks with just the small seb poking out of my pocket. Imagine the reaction to a larger pocket bulge!)

However, when I'm home and working outside, I usually carry the Microtech. In that situation, or when out hiking, I would definately consider carrying the large seb.

And, by the way, I always carry a Spyderco Cricket in my pocket no matter what else I happen to be carrying.

I was at the CRK shop trying to decide which one to get - large fills the hand so well - small rides well and is lower profile. Chris said that the small will do everything the large will do (just what every guy wants to hear).

Went with the small and haven't looked back.

Definitely small, that is, until my large arrives.
Then, definately LARGE.

hope this helps.

I have owned both small and large, But I like the large better. I have always heard you can do small jobs with a big knife, But it's harder to do big jobs with a small knife. Also,You are more likely to notice the large one falling out of your pocket, So maybe, Just maybe, You won't lose a large Seb as easily as the small. (Knockin' on wood!)

WOW. . . I'm amazed that there are sooooo many small people out there. :p

Definitely thought that there would be more of us large ones out there ! ;)

I deliberated a long time over small or large but finally settled on the small plain Sebenza. It's a little beauty and I'm not afraid that it will get scratched, etc. as my EDC. For those tasks requiring a larger blade, I usually have one close at hand.

I own both and my favorite seems to shift around. I'll carry one for a while and then the other. If I could only have one it would probably be a large but at the moment I have a small in my pocket.

Make mine a small Classic - carry one everyday! Small but tough, and always ready for work!

Plus, the smaller size and less weight of the small means more room for other toys and the pants still stay on! :p

I don't own a large....yet. I've tried to pick up a couple off the sales forum, but have missed out. My EDC for the past 2 years has been a small CGG (Line Drive). The Umfaan has also been part of my EDC for the past year. I have yet to attempt a task that either of these knives could not handle. Thus far, the pair have made up the perfect EDC for me.

I've carried lots of others and NONE have come close, but I'd still like to have a Large for the weekends ;)

I have a Large Classic MM (6-50) a small wood Spiral Damascus and a redwood Mnandi and I carry my Large as my EDC.

The small is far more practical, but as I can get away with the Large in work, large it is:D !

I prefer my small on style though...

Small Classic

Classic because the large cutout is great.

Small because the Large has an enormous blade height (width) and I'd rather use a fixed blade at that point.
