Does anyone know where to get large bulk quantities of this? I remember someone using it for making micarta, but I don't remember who.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Far better to get West System epoxy (or similar type). Available from woodworking supplier (Woodcraft,et.al.), and many marine suppliers. I use System Three clear coat. These type resins have a more controllable pot life and come in quantities from 8oz. to a 55 gallon drum.

I have built boats, and have used both the system 3 and a brand called Raka. Raka is just as good and quite a bit cheaper. You should be able to google raka epoxy to find the site.

I got a great price on a gallon and a half (gallon resin, 1/2 gallon hardener) of MaxCLR at an Ebay store. It's similar to West System, same guy I got the Max from carries West also. Great to work with, and the pot life is almost 2 hours, so you've got plenty of time for the lay ups. Just do a search on Ebay and you'll find it.
