I was in this thread trying to decide if I would take it, nice snag. I wonder how the flat spot on the handle will feel, can you put you or pinky over it in a three finger hold if it were a shorter blade?

I was totally uninterested in the seax blade until I bot Bill’s last one and it is a beast! Ancient design totally functional today and superior in a lot of uses.

I suppose one could hook a pinky onto the flat of the pommel but I haven’t used this handle pattern on smaller knives where that would be useful. I like this handle shape on bigger blades that see a lot of chopping and slashing. The large pommel serves to keep your hand in place and the shape is reminiscent of some Philippine designs I’ve seen and used.

I have been agonizing over this knife since you first put it up,even wrote down "i'll take it"then backed out-glad someone picked it up,my resolve was waning,I totally love this knife you do some of the best chopper/big knives in the business

There is enormous power in these two I have bot from Bill. Just shows how savvy our ancestors were in tweaking their use; hope that makes sense? My Thanks and Respects!
