I've decided to switch to a folder for this task and was wondering if the large was too "tactical" or not enough of a drop point. Anyone have experience with using the Sebenza on big game?

Yep - works great (never used on anything bigger than deer). Also exceptional BTW for Fileting Bass/Catfish /Bluegill :)

I gutted and skinned out the head for a trophy mount on a 375 lbs wild Boar with a small Micarta Sebenza. I could not believe it. No problem. s30v is awesome. This is when I knew this knife was worth the money. All my other knives were always worthless after a few inches through that boar hide. The next day, we used the same small Sebenza on two more boars that my buddies shot, but, I did freshened up the edge that night in camp. I just bought a Large Micarta Sebenza to match my small one. With the 1 inch extra cutting edge on the Large, I bet you can trophy out two full grown boars without freshening the edge. Personally, i decided to buy the Large Sebenza because I was so impressed on how that small sebenza handled those Boars...

i have the small regular, don't hunt but fish all the time, thanks guys for hearing about what the small is capable of. so good to hear stories like these, only makes me smile.
thanks again

There GREAT for deer size game. The perfect Blade length, handle shape(straight), enough belly, and you can take apart and clean easy.
