I saw this large Sebenza with Mammoth inserts and a damascus blade for sale today. There is no original box or data card, the inside of the scales are dated 09 B. the folder seems to be unused. My question is what would be a average asking price for it and what would be a "Good buy" price for it. Thanks in advance for any input.

The large 21 Sebenza was at the local gun show. I only went back to the gun show today buy it. When I got there, the seller said a guy asked him yesterday if he would take $2000, the buyer apparently didn’t ask what the sellers asking price was (which was $1900) and over paid by $100! If you see it for sale somewhere, you’ll know what the seller paid for it. Thanks for the input on the knife’s value.

Never leave a treasure at a gun show overnight. Someone else who knows is out there.
Well, I didn’t know what the value of the knife was, that is why I asked the question here. I know the values of PJs and CGG Sebenzas, but not something like this, I didn’t want to over pay for it.

Completely understand your hesitation. I have actually never seen one of these for sale on the forum in the last seven years, although I may have missed it. Given the fact that it’s a very early Large 21, Devin Thomas Damascus and mammoth with the original owner selling it, I would’ve thought somewhere between $2500 to $4500.

Lone_Wolfe Lone_Wolfe has a ridiculous collection with lots of Mammoth and might have more insight.
