I have an xm 18 that I love, and a small sebenza that I love even more. I think I want to trade or sell the XM for a large sebenza but don't know if I'd be getting a value. I'm also not getting much feedback from the exchange so I'm really not sure if the value is the same, I don't want to be lowballing anyone:confused:

Apples to oranges, my friend. Hard to make a comparison between two different animals.
What do you want? If you want to try a large sebenza, then do so. If you find you prefer the XM, then sell or trade back for one.

Sell the XM and wait on a good price for the Seb. Problem solved. No need to trade. I bought my Large 21 W/micarta inlays slightly used for $385. That is value!

Of course it depends on the condition of the XM-18 & configuration(as well as the Sebenza condition), but you probably could get a slight bit more for the XM-18 , with a good deal on the Sebenza. I personally have no love for trading, and prefer to sell and find exactly what I want for my buy. It's up to you.
I have seen over the years a lot of Sebenzas at great prices where the only flaws were snail trails on the scales.
Better yet if you can afford to-get the Sebenza before selling your XM-18 and decide which you prefer. Both are great knives, just different.

Na man hold onto the xm and be patient and save for the seb. You bought the xm for a reason and you'll regret parting with it. What's better than having both? Heck that would even increase your appreciation for the knife once aquired.

This. Cant tell you how many times I've sold a knife to fund a new interest and then regretted it.

I own both, 4 of each, they are totally different but both are great knives, I would have a hard time choosing one over the other
