I am looking to purchase 5 Spyderco Tenacious for grooms men gifts. I was wondering if anyone knows about a great website I can get a killer deal on them including shipping. Or suggestions for a better Spyderco knife to give as the gift that will not break the bank including where to purchase them as well.

I think that would be a quite reasonable gift. Just as a reminder though, it is made in china, so if any of your group would be unhappy with that you might want to to consider something else.

Might as well order from new graham .com, best service anywhere..

I like knifeworks.com the Tenacious knife is the best you can buy for that price.

Heck I even replaced my usual EDC Emerson Mini-Commander for that knife.

If Made In China was a concern, then his "group" shouldn't use anything at the wedding, even the cups and silverware will prob say Made In China.

Well what else is out there that can compete with the Tenacious that is still made in USA or Seki city.

Nothing really "made in US or Japan" can compete with "made in China" price wise (for some not understandable for me reasons people in US and Japan can not live on $0.60 an hour and Governments of these countries prosecute for polluting, which make manufacturing expensive. Sorry for rant.)
The closest in mid 40th range which can look like nice grooms men gifts coming to my mind SS Delica4, Cricket, Dragonfly and Centofante4.
Tom is nice on-line authorized dealer, web site just started

or better e-mail him tom@spydercovt.com
Good luck

Why isn't anyone mentioning the Wal-mart Spyderco Natives for <$40? That's not much higher than a Tenacious, and mine was made in Golden, Colorado, Earth.

I have to go with the Wal-Mart Native also. Good knife, made in USA and it would be just as cheap when you add in the shipping for the 5 Tenacious knives. Convenience would be a factor also, everytown has at least one Wal-Mart close by.

For me, the Cricket just screams Groomsman gift. It's classy, but different. Also a great intro to Spyderco.

WOW!... thats original... and pointless... In this case i would have to say.... hmm? Go home, get a job, or go to sleep....

Personally , i would go for one of thier SS models if you can get them..
Delica or Dragonly.. And they could be etched with a date... and some words...
I think that i just as important as the knife...

I would be looking at one of Spyderco's LBKs so you know that there will be a greater chance of them carrying the buggers and be reminded of whom gave that great tool to them as a gift :D

Here are some of the gifts I have given to family and friends. I can tell you that the S/S Spydies all take engraving very very well. Laser engraving them is awesome. Engraving on the blade is also quite cool, but nothing says thanks better than an engraved classy S/S knife.

I'd go for a Dragonfly or Ladybug. They can whack those in their pockets or keychains and use them forever !

Lucky groomsmen :p I only gave mine mini Maglites as I didn't know about Spydies then ! And BTW: If I were any of the groomsmen I wouldn't worry about where it was made. It still has the Spyderco symbol on it, but more importantly it was a gift from their mate :D !

Cheers

Wow... way to go Datan..
Thats more help than i could have even tried to offer..
perfect examples...

The Tenacious is a great knife, I actually like it better than some of the $100+ Spydies. I think it would make a nice gift if your friends don't mind largeish knives.

Thanks for your remarks, but like yourself, I am here for the love of Sypderco knives not to worry about politics.

Go home? Get a job? ahaahaah thanks for the kind words but I was just expressing my comment about been so tired of these people that drag politics into a knife forum.

Dan,
What are you doing to me? I just decided not to buy Dragonfly and save money. Now I have to reverse my decision.
