Large to X-Large edc's

I could not agree more! I love 4" plus knives for EDC. I have two Sifu and a Camillus Maxx that I carry (mostly the Maxx though). My Microtech Socom Elite and LCC's are regular EDC carry's also. There are times when a smaller knife might be more fitting, but the larger blades are my love and I feel comfortable using them.
When it comes to fixed blade EDC, a Busse BM is normal carry or if heading into the forests there will be one 18" to 20" Khukuri with me. Like those big bent blades!!

I will always have one of these, normally the Strider.
Strider SMF
Large Sebenza
Ray Coon Damascus

Will usually have a trapper or small sebenza in the other pocket.

   Great choices all! Knew their were some "big boys" out there. Post pics if you can! :) :D

For me, it's not about pure size or pure weight.

I like - heck, love - big folders, but as long as they have a good weight-to-size ratio, I'm OK carrying them, even in rather flimsy dress-pants.

What am I talking about?

Well, it's more or less "density."

Pick up an Al Mar Nomad -- pretty small knife, right? But it's darned heavy for its size. It's "dense."

Now pick up an RJ Martin Avenger. Sure, it's heavy, but that weight is distributed over a much larger area.

:)

That's what I'm talking about.

CS Voyager X2 anyone?
Yup, I have one of those (PE)...Talk about a folding Bowie...It's the same knife as my CS Vaquero Grande, but with a different blade installed!.:).

Spyderco Chinook II (3.75"). Recently a Benchmade 710 (3.9") is also getting alot of pocket time.

TOPS CQB Magnum is pretty hefty. Mine came with a Nylon horizontal carry and the Kydex.

Too big for me for EDC and not as useful on a day to day basis as a LM.

I carry a lot of times, not on a daily basis, but at least when I'm on the countryside, a classic spanish navaja.
It has a 5 1/8 blade and open nearly 12"
it's that one

it's a great cutter, good for food preparation, because of it's relative thin blade of about 2,5mm, it's light and got a really strong lock.
here in spain it't costs about half of cutlerytogo's price.

Here is my winter-EDC:

Wy? Because i can and its not forbidden.

Dont carry my Sifu because i want to keep it new.
Dont carry my Vaquero grande much because i have the old one without a clip, but sometimes in the wood ;)

OK, 99% of work is done with the smallest Folder,
(that BM could be replaced by a Spy Walker sometimes),
but its nice to have a real knife for reserv.

I agree, Allen-
My AlMar SERE "carries" heavier than my Cuda MAXX or my Millie.
But I too love large folders. I always have either a Commander, BM 806, Spyderco Military, or my Cuda MAXX in one of my pockets. The Cuda is HUGE but carries very well for it's size.
