Large Traditional's

Queen Mountain Man.
There are two versions. A lockback and a slip joint.

If you don't mind searching around, you might find a large "banana Trapper". I don't think any are in production. But you could keep an eye on the used market.

Queen/S&M make a wonderful daddy barlow, with multiple blade combinations, both single and double bladed. This one is my fave, a File & Wire from S&M, just a hair under 5" closed.

I like that S&M, nice size. The cartridges wouldn't be 35 Whelen Improved by any chance would they?

If you want something cheaper search for Rough Rider granddaddy barlow. Surprisingly good for the price. I had one, but it was too big for me so I gave it to a friend.

I like this 125OT,it rides in a sheath that held a Buck 110 til it was left on a stream bank after gutting a trout.

The Surge is considered the big beast of the Multitool world and my big beast of a Sheffield makes it look normal :)

This Slim Coke Bottle from the File & Wire Series, at 5-3/8" closed, is a handful. Here it is compared to a modified Camillus Electrician, a pretty large knife in it's own right.

I'm reading this with a German Eye folding hunter in my hand wondering what anyone would do with such a large folder. It snaps closed like a bear trap too. Beautiful thick stag, but not practical in my eyes. To each his own I guess!

I like a large traditional my self. #23's, Grandad barlows. Large gusntocks, Elephant Toenail,

The Queen English Jack is really nice. And the S&M Barlow's the same size.

How about a Case Back Pocket folder. case-back-pocket-folder-red bone.jpg 4-1/2" closed length, 3-1/2" blade length and depending upon the handle type, they even come with a lanyard hole. It's considerably thinner than the folding hunter from either Case or Schrade, and even a standard trapper since it only has one blade. I've got one, and have used it for field dressing a whitetail deer...and to be honest the narrow thin blade lets you get into those areas where there isn't room for bigger blades. I like mine, and I'm thinking you probably would as well.
