Large US-made Folder for $35 max?

Is there any competition for the Buck 110? Something in about the same size. Slipjoints OK.

Looking through my collection, I have surprisingly few US-made knives... a Case and a couple machetes. And I've been thinking about a large American made folder. Any suggestions?

Kershaw Storm II
Spyderco Endura
Some cold steel Voyagers
You also may be able to find a zytel handled CRKT M-16 which is a pretty good knife.
Benchmade Pika

Hope that helps:thumbup:

Gerber Gators.

Much better.

Are the Voyagers and CRKT US made? I thought they were imported.

Are all Gerber Gators US made?

IMO the US made Kershaw Storm I or II is the best deal for a $30-$35 knife.

Check one out at Walmart....

Oh whoops i forgot about US made:o

I would deffinetly reccomend the kershaw storm I or II and you can purchase the storm II at wal mart for about 30.

Enduras are Made in Japan

Funny you should mention this. I was a bit disappointed to find this out.

Is there any database in existence about what knives are made where? There seems to be a lot of misconceptions about the country of origin for many knives on the market.

Not ultra cool or sexy but it is made in the USA, can be had for under $35 and is almost as big as the 110 but a lot lighter.

Well...I don't really see the problem with a Japanese made knife personally. But trying to stay within your requirements.

My first recommendation aside, I'd say save for another month or two and grab a D`allara drop point for 55 bucks. If you want an amazing large folder at the lowest price, it's pretty incredible. And it's a BIG folder.

I don't really see the problem with a Japanese made knife, either. Nor Chinese, or anything else.

But my collection has very few US made examples, and I want to get one or two. And I restrict the price range smply because if I don't, the sky is the limit. I figure there must be some in that range. And the restriction makes it more interesting.

i've really been looking at those drop point Gerber Gators with the 154CM, but they are a tad over $35 at like $40

are they still made in the US?
