Large VS Small

Haha I know, im just saying if he decided to make mediums I know ill get a few.

few days aho6 I thought I lost my small, talk about panic attack.

I'm fortunate enough to work in an office with a group of folks who are pretty down to earth and barely notice a knife. I could probably carry pretty much anything, pretty much anywhere, short of a courtroom, as long as I didn't "pull it" on anyone in an offensive manner. Heck, in Minnesota, even the liberals own trucks and guns and the laws don't get anal about balde length. Anyhow, I use to buy "sets": Large/Small Insingo; Large & Small Inlay; Large and Small Carbon Fiber... I never ended up carrying the Small though I quite liked them. They did end table letter opener duty until eventually being sold or traded. I like the Large as it seems to "carry small" even though it is generally considered to be a large folder. The bigger grip is easier to grab and hold, but doesn't get out of hand like a SMF taking up pocket space. Go figure.

Nothing but large for me, thanks. The small is simply too small for my hands with the handle shape as it it. It just is not comfortable for me.

The large is just about perfect.

I carried a small Insingo for around 2 years, loved it, never left me "needing" more knife and was invisible in the office when I still worked there. As soon as I quit that job I started carrying my Umnum Tanto and after close to 3 years with that knife, a Large Insingo, a StarTac, and a 25 as my rotation I just can't seem to carry any of my Small CRK's anymore- they've been demoted to the dress knife category, where they shine if course :)

I am really only keeping the smalls because I have a history with those knives, made great memories while carrying them, or they'd have been sold for more larges. Nothing against the small, it's very capable, but the large edges it out- crappy pun intended.

I only got my first the beginning of this year after sitting on the fence for 20 years and it was a Small 21, I've handled the large in a pass around but that was so long ago I vaguely remember so I guess I'll have to wait till I get a large someday to really comment.

Now having had the small and carrying out every day since the beginning of the year even though I have large hands with stubby fingers by adding a small monkey fist on a lanyard the knife fits perfectly in my hand and it makes it feel like a much larger handle.

I got my small today, and thought.... where's the rest of it? Looking at the Lg and Sm. They seem like a lot of size difference, but the blade lengths don't seem like as much difference. I'll have to put the SM in my pocket and just go with it till I like it, or can't stand it.... Got a Miandi in a trade and gave it away to a friend who is a "gentleman" . I knew that was never going to work for me.Still like to know what the sales ratio is from CRK .

The small is great for the special occasion I think. Although I did take mine out yesterday and did a bunch of sprinkler work. It did just fine. I think it was feeling neglected. I will never get rid or mine. Even though I don't use it as much as my large friends :)

I've owned both but will only own the small ones from here out.

To tell the truth I'd love one in between the large and small but I know that's probably asking a lot.

The Large Sebenza is a great fit for my hand. Unfortunately I've never held a Small, but I really don't think I'd like one knowing that there is a larger version to be had.

The Sebenza is more than just a knife for me. It represents luxury, class, quality, hell, even decadence... In my case I want the most knife that I can get for my money. Right now the top of the heap (for me) is embodied by my Large 25. :)

Both sizes have it's advantages.
When in the office the small seems to fit best.
Outdoors I prefer the large.
So we do have a dilemma which is no drama. :)
The only problem I see is with matching sets....

PS: My guess it, there are more large Sebenzas out there.
Why? Because the frist Sebenza was a large and the 25 is even larger.

I have two small insingos and one large. I edc my smalls everyday. My large is only used when I really need it for a special occasions. Camping etc. I prefer carrying my smalls though.

I carry the 25 way more. But the Small Insigo is a awesome EDC. The blade shape really is amazing and cuts like a lot bigger knife.

I had personally never held either. So I ordered a small. Got it today and it is a lot smaller than I thought. It is the same size as my mini griptilian. If I had it to do over I'd order a large.

I'm going to say it again.... Large is the best way to go!! You have a bigger piece of craftsmanship to use and enjoy. I mean how can you argue with that!!

I live and work in an environment that is extremely knife friendly, I work by myself. After trying out larger folding knives, not CRK's, I figured out that the extra length just wasn't neccisary for me. I recently picked up my first small and absolutely love it. The blade seems a lot larger than it is and the handle size disappears in the pocket. Anytime I know I'm going to need more blade I go with a fixed blade in addition to what I usually pack. If I do ever end up in some sort of unforseable bind I'm confident that my 3" blade and my Leatherman will get me out.

On a side note, after looking at the sebenzas for years, I can see what the fuss is about. I absolutely love my new to me knife and wish I'd have sprung for one much much sooner.

Small in the front pocket, Large in the back pocket.:)
