Hey guys,
I'm staying in Henderson, but may be going to the strip. I know security is tight on the strip, but even more so in the casinos. I'm driving up (from Cali) so getting the blade there isn't a problem whatsoever. But can I carry it on me if we go to the strip? I really don't want to have to deal with gaynal (yes, its gay and anal all at once!) rent a cops at the casinos. I can carry in a jacket pocket or something, no big deal. But pocket clip? Heres what I found, Its illegal to:

carry concealed upon his person any...
(2) Dirk, dagger or machete... [A 1995 amendment
substituted "machete" in this subsection for "dangerous
knife."]

Whats concealed consist of? Does that mean if its clipped in my pocket its not concealed? Its in no way a weapon, I get so used to having one on me for random little things all day, its seems weird whenever I don't have a knife. I flew last time and that was miserable...on the way there alone I could have used a knife no less than 10 times, and I was there for a week working at my dads company...in the warehouse...with no blade...talk about torture, I finally found an old key to start opening packages with! Thanks for the help.

Relax. My girlfriend and I went to Vegas last month to visit her son, who is living and working there. We stayed at a hotel northwest of the Strip and had no problems whatsoever. I had two knives on me at all times; German army pocketknife made by Victorinox and a 4" Cold Steel "Voyager" lockblade folder. We went in and out of the casinos on the Strip effortlessly and had a great time. We passed thru Henderson on the way to Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. BTW, check out the fountains at Bellagio's at night. Quite a sight to behold!

Cool, I should be fine then. The Bellagio at night is quite the sight, rather impressive huh? My family and I were up there for the 4th of July and the fireworks were the best I've ever seen. Each hotel had their own display so no matter where you were in Vegas you had fireworks all around you. Thanks for the heads up!

I've been to Las Vegas about once a year every year since 1994. Not only do I carry a small folder wherever I go, but I've shopped for and bought knives at some of their awesome stores. I then carried the new knife wherever I went and never had a problem. In fact, some of the pocket clips I've seen on other guys' pockets were bigger than my whole knife! I bought an Al Mar Ultralight Falcon on one trip, and a Lone Wolf Paul Presto on my last trip.

There's a southwestern jewelry and curio shop in the Forum Shops at Caesar's that has some nice William Henry folders, as well as some vintage six-guns. Also, Advanced Tactical and Blade is a great store off the Strip, well worth the trip.

I bought some nice cufflinks by David Rosales there, at West of Santa Fe, in the Forum Shops at Caesars, but I heard they are moving to another location. I buy knives at Bonds House of Cutlery over on West Sahara Dr. You can carry a knife in Las Vegas. There is no problem there. It is a good city, and you should not venture into places you don't know. We always travel at night by car, and do valet parking, which is very cheap in Las Vegas. Mind your P's and Q's and you won't have any trouble there. I looked at those William Henry Knives too. Very nice stuff there. The sales girl asked me if I was a dentist, as she thought I was one. They try to guess what people do for a living, for fun, she said. We always dress up very nice out there, and get treated accoardingly. The clothes make the man, as the saying goes. When you look good people hold the door for you and call you sir. This makes you the last person the police or security are looking at. There are so many scummy looking people to keep them busy out there. I would not walk the streets there without a good knife on me.
